G20 Energy Ministerial Meeting: Statement of the Presidency

The Statement reflects position of the Republic of Turkey regarding paragraph four of G20 Energy Ministerial Communique 2020:

"Turkey emphasizes its request to be identified as a Non-Annex 1 country as regards the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), based on the guiding principles of the climate regime which support equity, common but differentiated responsibilities and respective capabilities. Turkey also states that only by being a Non-Annex 1 country, Turkey will be able to maximize her efforts to contribute to global efforts on climate change."
