France Issues Invitations to Cannes Summit

On February 12, 2011, the French presidency of the G20 announced that in keeping with the principles defined at the G20 Seoul Summit it had issued five invitations to the summit it will host in Cannes on November 3-4, 2011.

The five invitations have been sent to:

• Ethiopia, the current chair of the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD)
• Singapore, representing the 27-member Global Governance Group (3G)
• Spain
• United Arab Emirates, the current chair of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC)
• Equatorial Guinea, the current chair of the African Union.
